This is the solution developed in the field of analytics for retail and assistance.

The goal of the project was to create a remote platform— a portal—designed to integrate a series of services based on analytics and business intelligence for both retailers and area managers of the company manufacturing cash registers and scales.

A multi-tenant web portal was created to integrate services for both retailers and area managers.

These services are characterized by:

  • Chatbot for assistance
  • Recommender systems for sales
  • Data visualization for maintenance
  • Business intelligence on sales and KPIs

How does it work?
The portal can be used by different types of users (e.g., administrators, retailers, and area managers).

Each user can access specific areas of interest, and the platform allows for the visualization of all data related to scales and cash registers, which are crucial for market analysis.

For example, administrators can configure the chatbot for assistance, updating questions and answers to be provided. The chatbot handles issues raised by customers (e.g., retailers and/or customers managed by area managers) regarding cash registers and scales, offering procedures and solutions or the option to contact support staff to schedule an appointment. Additionally, both retailers and area managers can benefit from a recommendation system. Retailers are suggested potential products to sell based on sales trends and external factors (e.g., seasonality), while area managers are guided on which market areas to target.

The portal enables analytics on sales through clustering methods that allow categorizing product varieties to consider for boosting sales. Furthermore, the platform provides traceability for both repairs and MPS (Master Production Schedule).

Finally, by setting specific KPIs, the portal allows real-time performance monitoring for both retailers and area managers.
